Coventry Cathedral – Icon and Inspiration by Alexandra Epps
This lecture tells the extraordinary story of the rebuilding of Coventry Cathedral as a symbol of peace and reconciliation and its inspiring commitment to the modern. The talk will enable viewers to experience the work of many of the world – class artists associated with the Cathedral’s treasures including Epstein, Frank, Piper and Sutherland.
Alexandra Epps
Alexandra is an official Guide and Lecturer at Tate Modern, Tate Britain and Guildhall Art Gallery, and is also a Pallant House Gallery Lecturer. She is a Qualified Guide to the City of London, offering lectures and walks about many aspects of the arts for societies, corporations and private individuals, and is a Member of the City of London Guide Lecturers Association. Alexandra is the co-author of the book Lord Mayor’s Portraits 1983-2014 (2015). Her background is in design, having practised as a graphic designer running her own design consultancy for many years.
