We will have timed tickets during the morning to the Exhibition, ‘Donatello: Sculpting the Renaissance’, being transferred directly from the Bargello Museum in Florence.
On show will be over 120 objects, many of which have never before been exhibited in the UK. Experience a fresh vision of the exceptional talents of one of the greatest sculptors of the Renaissance period 1386 – 1466 and his influence on subsequent generations. He blazed a trail as the first sculptor to employ bronze as a medium.
There are café facilities at the Museum for lunch and refreshments.
During the afternoon members will be free to explore the huge variety of galleries at the Museum whether your interests are fine furniture, glass, jewellery, fashion or classical statuary.
Accessibility – There will be a lot walking but there are lifts to the upper floors.
Bookings will open from February when an online form will be available.
Ticket price is £48 per person £40 for those with a current Art Fund membership (please show card to Wendy on booking and take it with you on the day).
Ticket includes return transport from Grayshott and your timed entry into the exhibition.
Priority booking will be given to members but if there is availability after that partners and friends would be welcome. Wendy will keep a waiting list of non-members who would be interested.
